I support taxation of the value of stock options as of the date of vesting unless the individual rejects the option prior to the vesting date. I support severely limiting the tax deductions for any payment to an individual employee whose salary exceeds 20 or 25 times that of the lowest level paid by that employer. Attack the wage gap on both ends. | |||

| There are two types of Civil War statues in the US -- those dedicated to individual leaders and those dedicated to the cannon fodder. Many were erected right around the 50th anniversary of the war , a time when the veterans population began declining steeply. Even if there was a Jim Crow reason for statue erections, the statues to honor the grunts should stay. Valor does not come wrapped in a flag. On top of that the greatest proportions of soldiers on both sides were conscriptees of one kind or another. And almost none of those owned slaves. | |||

Enact a state constitutional amendment to require non-partisan redistricting at all levels in the state. Do not allow corporations to contribute to political campaigns or candidates. Require all balloting to be by mail. Consider the feasibility of online voting if proper safeguards can be put in place. No more voter registration which includes party preference. We are paying taxes to give parties free member roles. |
